Lash glue questions
Which glue should a beginner start with?
Pearl Black. Its 1–3 second cure gives you time to place each lash properly, and it's forgiving enough for your first volume sets.
What is the fastest Lash Heaven glue?
Fierce Black, at 0.5–1 second. It's for experienced artists who work at speed, so wait until your placement is confident before switching.
Which glue lasts longest on the client?
Pearl Black, with retention of up to 7 weeks with correct use and aftercare. Intense Black and Fierce Clear give up to 6–7 weeks, and Fierce Black up to 5.
Which glue is best for sensitive clients?
All four of our glues are low-fume, and sealing the set with Superbonder FIXATION helps too. Patch test new clients first: put 5 extensions on one eye and, if you want to compare, 5 with a different glue on the other eye. Note down which eye has which glue.
When should I use clear glue?
Use Fierce Clear for coloured and brown lashes, where black glue would show at the base. For a bold, defined lash line, a black glue is the better choice.
How long does lash glue last once opened?
Use it within 2 months of opening. Unopened, it keeps for up to 6 months; write the opening date on the bottle.
Can I keep my glue in the fridge?
Only unopened glue, and only in a hot climate over 30°C. Never refrigerate an opened bottle, because condensation will ruin it.
Why is my glue drying too fast?
Usually high humidity or a warm room. Pick up a little more glue and place faster, or move to a slower glue such as Pearl Black.
Why is my glue not drying?
Usually low humidity, under about 35%. Pick up a little less glue, or move to a faster glue.
How often should I replace my glue drop?
About every 20–30 minutes, and more often in humid conditions. Change it as soon as it turns thicker, gloopy or stringy, always as a fresh drop rather than on top of the old one, and keep it round, because a flat drop dries faster.
